How does Redcat differ from Xero or other accounting packages?

Redcat offers a completely integrated POS and accounting package built specifically to cater to the needs of the hospitality industry. As opposed to other accounting software, there are no addons required.. Redcat is the one stop shop for the hospitality industry!

Is Redcat "cloud based" software?

Depending on your needs, Redcat can either be cloud based, or installed locally on location. Being an integrated POS system there will always be a version installed on-site that pushes information through to the cloud.

Do you provide ongoing Redcat based bookkeeping services?

Absolutely! We have a variety of packages to suit the medium sized restaurant all the way up to multi-location groups and franchises. Our many years of Redcat experience ensures you make the most of the Redcat system!

Why choose Ridgeway Consulting instead of working directly with Redcat?

Redcat is a software and integrated POS system, and as such don't offer bookkeeping services or dedicated on-site training. In many ways our services are complimentary. Redcat offers the hardware, software, and support, and Ridgeway offers training and bookkeeping services.

In fact, for training on their software Redcat will most likely refer you directly to Ridgeway Consulting, as we've been a service partner with them for the last 5 years.

How many staff can be included in the training sessions?

We're happy to train as many staff as you need trained, including front of house, managers, and even your accountant! Just remember that the packages are charged on a daily basis, so if you have more than 4-5 staff being trained you may require more add-on days.

How much notice do you need for booking training sessions or packages?

In general we can easily book in a training session if we have 3-4 weeks notice. If your business is interstate (we're based in Melbourne VIC) and you require onsite training, then more notice may be required.

Can training sessions be done online?

Absolutely! If you're interstate or would like staff from multiple locations to participate, we can do the training through TeamViewer, or other screensharing software.

Who transfers the data over from our current accounting system?

In general, rather than transferring legacy data from a different accounting system, the easiest way is to create starting balances for all ledgers starting from an agreed date.

Ridgeway Consulting is able to look after all the setup of all ledger accounts including wages, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and other system data.

Are you available to do our bookkeeping onsite?

Ridgeway Consulting is a cloud based bookkeeping service, and as such we don't send our staff to your site for work. There are many benefits to this, including decreased cost to you, while enjoying increased access to staff via email and phone. We offer online bookkeeping services.
